Green Juice Recipe by Danuta Mieloch

To say that beauty starts from within is an understatement. In fact, I suggest we dig deeper to unlock its true meaning. Cultivating better thoughts, being kind to oneself, pushing boundaries, and focusing on deep, rich internal nourishment is the overall definition of "beauty from within."

I love a good night on the town just as much as the next person, but I always crave weekends with my dogs, best friends, and my household of plants, herbs, roots, and more. For example, my latest creation was this green juice, which I prepared with a generous mix of celery, parsley, green apple, kale, ginger, lemon, and cucumber.

Celery is always a staple in my juices, as it is slimming and regulates blood pressure (something we owe ourselves after a week of work). It also increases collagen production and helps skin reverse sun damage.

I love anti-inflammatory herbs like parsley because they are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients that accelerate skin healing. Bonus: it adds a delicious kick to the juice.

In addition to aiding healthy digestion and adding a tangy touch to juice, green apples are also full of vitamin C and help strengthen our immune system.

Kale is a rich source of plant-based calcium, helps strengthen bones, and has low levels of a natural compound called oxalate, which makes calcium more available for absorption by the body.

Roots like ginger are the world's favorite immune boosters, and I am no exception. I love adding ginger to my green juices because it is an important anti-inflammatory ingredient that also helps promote skin health.

Lemon is another dose of vitamin C that I can't get enough of. Skin health is largely affected by sun exposure, so we should accumulate as much as possible in the foods we eat. Lemon also aids in healthy digestion!

A super-hydrator is essential in all recipes aimed at improving skin condition... In this recipe, cucumber does more than just that... It hydrates the body internally and acts as an excellent anti-inflammatory. Most of what people typically eat contributes to inflammation in the body, which is why we need juices like these to reverse it.
Danuta Mieloch's Green Juice Recipe:
Ingredients:

    1 cucumber
    4 celery stalks
    1 whole lemon
    1 bunch of parsley
    ½ head of kale
    A handful of raw ginger
    1 green apple

Instructions:

    Wash all produce thoroughly
Cut off the lemon peel (this will make juicing easier).
Quarter the apples and remove the skin.
    Quarter the cucumber
Place in your chosen juicer (no specific order).
    Enjoy!

In addition to consistent skincare, healthy eating and drinking green juices are also part of my mantra. Consistent juicing is a great way to improve skin health. I always emphasize that it's important to take care of yourself from the inside out.
