Five minutes of tenderness for yourself every day
Danuta Mieloch, brand owner, and Agnieszka Colombie, CEO for the Polish and European market, discuss the benefits of holistic skincare in the spirit of minimalism, as well as the fact that one can successfully run a business with a friend.
Forbes Women: Conscious skincare is a strong trend today. How does broad access to knowledge influence the work of specialists?
Danuta Mieloch: It's a wonderful phenomenon – women are increasingly interested in skin health and appearance.
Agnieszka Colombié: But an excess of information can be misleading. In skincare, knowledge supported by research and experience is crucial.
D.M.: Clients often come with ready-made ideas, which facilitates conversation, but requires us to filter information and educate. The expert's role is to individually tailor the skincare.
Forbes Women: What is conscious skincare?
D.M.: It's a holistic approach – not just cream, but also sleep, diet, breathing, and balance.
A.C.: It's listening to your skin and responding to its needs – without exaggeration, but with consistency.
Forbes Women: How does the Danucera brand philosophy fit into this trend?
D.M.: Danucera is simplicity and effectiveness – five intuitive steps based on clean ingredients. It's a ritual, a moment for yourself that soothes and gives a glow effect.
A.C.: We encourage women to fall in love with this ritual – five minutes of tenderness for themselves every day.
Forbes Women: How was the brand born?
D.M.: From experience and passion. Working at Rescue Spa, I saw the need for a simple, effective skincare system. Danucera was my dream, fulfilled today.
A.C.: When Americans fell in love with the brand, it was time for Poland – and we are opening a Warsaw SPA soon.
Forbes Women: Your collaboration is also a story of friendship.
D.M.: Yes, Danucera is a combination of female strength and support.
A.C.: We believe that women supporting each other can achieve more.
Forbes Women: What advice would you give to women who want to follow a similar path?
A.C.: Believe in yourself and use the support of others.
D.M.: Don't compare yourself, find your own mission and consistently pursue it.
Forbes Women: How do you assess the brand's first year in Poland?
D.M.: Extraordinary – Polish women loved Danucera for its simplicity and results.
A.C.: Now it's time for other markets – we want Danucera to reach women all over the world.
